COUNTERFEIT WARNING!!!
Counterfeit products are a threat not just to Fitness
Quest, but they are a real threat to you. Counterfeiting is clearly
theft. More importantly, however, counterfeit products are a threat to
your health and safety. These products are made by unscrupulous companies
who have sub standard and, in some cases, no safety standards.
Do not put yourself and your family at
risk by purchasing these counterfeit products. If a product is sold at a price too good to be true, it probably
is.
There are many counterfeit products being sold on the
internet. Fitness Quest actively monitors the internet and will take legal
action when necessary to stop the sale of these counterfeit
products. Below is a list of websites known
by Fitness Quest to have sold counterfeit products:

In 2006, Fitness Quest filed a lawsuit to prevent Leena,
Inc., d/b/a wonderulbuys.com, from continuing the sale of counterfeit Ab
Lounge® products. Fitness Quest dismantled the operation by obtaining a
judgment against Leena, Inc. for $4,000,000 and title to the domain names* used
by Leena, Inc. to sell its infringing products. There are also many
counterfeit products being sold on eBay and other online auction
sites. Below is a list of eBay sellers known

The sale of counterfeit products is not just a civil matter, it
is also a criminal matter. In September of 2009, Bryan Polee (who sold
product on eBay through his company ZMP Enterprises), was sentenced to 3 years
in prison for trafficking in counterfeit goods (DOJ Press Release). Similarly, Walid Turk (who sold
product on eBay under the names 360 Shopaholic and Asapshipping), is on the
United States Secret Service Most Wanted List (Most Wanted
List) having suspected links to terrorists.
There is a well established link between terrorist
activities and the sale of counterfeit products (Interpol
Warning). Before purchasing a product that you believe is counterfeit,
please remember that the “bargain” comes at a significant price.
The money used to purchase the counterfeit product
may be used to fund a terrorist attack on American soil.
If you are aware of counterfeit Fitness Quest products
being sold, please contact us immediately at legal@fitnessquest.com.
Your help in combating this crime is greatly appreciated. |
